Cerfs-volants militaires, scientifiques et sportifs
published by Aug. C. Gomes & Cie

I do not know exactly when the kite activity and the first catalog began. The one of 1911 is an interesting brochure. It contains a description of 10 pages followed by 9 pages of technical data sheets on the kites marketed and 10 pages on accessories and spare parts.
A "Guestbook" page lists the first clients.
There are also many photographs including a magnificent kite aerial view of the Porte Maillot in Paris.

The Gomes company
It included an aeronautical and automobile agency, an automobile garage, an aeronautical workshop and an aeroplane garage.
Having left Paris, the company GOMES GARAGE MECANIQ. BOUTIQ. CERFS VOLANT will last from 1986 to 2016 in Ville-la-Grand (74, France), only in cars.

License J. Vinès
The kites were manufactured under license by José Vinès. He was in charge of the technical direction and was also appointed as a power manager. However there are products from others in the catalog, such as kites Potter and Robert Lemaire (R.L.), kap suspensions, etc.

The catalog
It is intended for an informed public and professionals. Thus, it gives pride of place to flying techniques, kite trains, aerial photography, etc.
I am not going to describe it, discover it yourself, it is really exciting.
