 Change on side keels:

The rear tip of the side keels is ripped up and cut. Rip-stop is replaced by a vented clothe like gauze or such as a wedding veil.

 

 

 Remove clothe from trailing sleeves:

On the top side of the sleeves, starting from the edge of the side keels, cut and remove the part shown in dotted lines.

The keel and the sleeves can now be re-sewn together.

 

 

 Add a rib  inside the trailing sleeves:

I'm not sure that these added ribs have a real effect on the kite stability, but this is the way my kite is now working. You may not install them , and if other changes are sufficient, you can avoid this modification.

Prepare 2 pieces of rip-stop 500 x 270/120 mm. Fold 10mm on each long edge. This will be the sewing line.

Draw lines inside the trailing sleeves as shown, starting from the existing rib (in red) and run to the ending edge.

Set the sewing line of new rib (in blue)on the drawn line of each face of the sleeve, and sew them together.

 Shorten the middle bridle:

Adjust the middle bridle to 2610mm.
Note the side bridles are 2800 mm long.
 
This gives the kite a new profile underneath as seen on the photograph. Remark the shape of the side keels. On the presentation picture, it can be seen the special new shape of the yellow trailing sleeve which projects out.
