This hook has the same shape than the small letter gamma of the Greek alphabet. In the gamma.pdf drawing, each bending stage is shown at scale 1 (scale unit is centimeter).

To make it, 200mm rod Ø6mm is necessary. This rod can be stainless steel, or aluminum material. With stainless steel, it will hold 150Kg, and only 80 Kg with aluminum. It also can be made in 4mm, or 8mm, diameter, or more.

After bending, tie to it a good and thin rope, 1,5 meter at least.

To use it, make fast around a piquet, a pole, a sand bag, etc... with a lark knot.

It only needs to grasp the kite line in your hand, and to make the line running several times around the two hooks of the hook. After some such turns of the line, when the kite is pulling, the hook is drawing closer, and clamp the line.

If the line is unwinded from a plate, it will probably be twisted a lot, and it may twist also the hook rope, but it will not affect its capabilities.
